William Goetzmann, Ph.D. is the Director of the International Center for Finance at the Yale School of Management and the coauthor of two recent books on finance: The Equity Risk Premium: Essays and Explorations, and The Origins of Value: A History of Financial Innovation. He is an expert on a diverse range of investments, including stocks, hedge funds, mutual funds, real estate and paintings. Professor Goetzmann received his undergraduate degree and his Ph.D. from Yale and taught at Columbia Business School before returning to his alma mater.
