Philip Lawton, CFA is director of the CGIPS Program in the CFA and CGIPS Programs Division of CFA Institute. His previous experience includes serving as vice president at State Street Corportation, where he supported the investment consulting firms that belong to the Independent Consultants Cooperative and at Citibank, where he headed U.S. performance-measurement in Worldwide Securities Services. Mr. Lawton earned a doctorate in philosphy in the French-speaking section of The Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, and a master of arts in business administration with a concentration in finance at NorthEastern University. He is a member of the Society for Business Ethics.
