This article describes the Certificate in Global Investment Performance Standards (CGIPS) Program, a new practice-based educational and credentialing program for investment performance professionals. It recounts the background and objectives of the program, explains the curriculum and examination development processes, and sets forth the requirements for earning and retaining the right to use the CGIPS designation.
