Maybe it is coincidence or maybe it was planned, but the recent spate of papers and marketing mateial that espouse yet another Greek alphabet that is useful for your portfolio, seemed eerily timed around the Athens Olympics.  It would take a marathon effort by investors to go through all the math in some of these papers, and some are lacking in respect for not having read the papers of some of the financial Olympians, and hence this brief piece to help clients sort through the bombardment of information.
